Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition (Nintendo Switch)

Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition is a party game for Nintendo Switch, published by Nintendo and released in July 2024. It tests your speed-running skills in over 150 challenges, supports up to 8 players, and comes on a physical game card with a PEGI 7 rating.

Over 150 challenges, one clock

The core idea is speed-running. The listing says there are over 150 challenges, which gives the game a long list of things to try before you run out of content, and the genres are Action, Party and Racing.

The NES Edition name points to the console the game draws on. The listing keeps its description short, so this page focuses on what is confirmed: the challenge count, the speed-running theme and the multiplayer support.

Why choose the Nintendo Switch version

This is the Nintendo Switch edition, supplied as a physical game card. With support for up to 8 players it is a natural party game, and the short, challenge-based format suits quick sessions.

Languages include Japanese, English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Korean and Chinese. Arabic is not listed. The edition is Standard.

If you want to play with a group, plan how many controllers you will need in advance, because the game supports up to 8 players.

With over 150 challenges, you can dip in for a single attempt or work steadily through the list. A PEGI 7 rating means the game is suitable for children aged seven and over, and it was released on 18 July 2024.
