The Xiaomi Electric Scooter 6 is the flagship of the family: a 12-inch tubeless-tyre commuter with a 400 W motor, a 360 Wh battery and suspension at both ends. Xiaomi quotes up to 45 km of range, a 120 kg maximum load and an 18% climbing limit, so it is the one to look at if your daily route is long, uneven or hilly.

Who it is for

Pick the Scooter 6 if comfort and capability matter more than carrying weight. Next to the Scooter 6 Lite and Scooter 6 Essential it has the longest range (45 km against 25 km), the strongest motor (400 W rated against 300 W), the biggest tyres and the only rear suspension in the family, and it carries riders up to 120 kg compared with 100 kg on the other two.

That extra hardware adds weight: about 26.3 kg, versus roughly 18.1 kg for the Lite and 16.3 kg for the Essential. It suits riders with a longer commute, steeper streets or rougher surfaces, who will mostly roll it rather than lift it. The whole scooter is rated IPX5 and the battery pack is rated above IPX6.

It is designed for riders aged 16 to 50 and 140 to 200 cm tall, and it works in temperatures from -10 to 40 C.
