Real-world range is typically 60–75% of the manufacturer's claimed range, which is measured under ideal conditions: flat road, 75 kg rider, 25 km/h constant speed. In urban Lebanese environments — hills, stop-and-go, heavier riders — expect the lower end of the stated range. A scooter rated at 40 km range realistically delivers 25–30 km in city use. Range decreases in cold weather and increases at lower speeds. Always plan for a 20% safety margin when estimating daily usable range.

Weekly: check tyre pressure (under-inflation dramatically increases battery drain and tyre wear). Monthly: inspect brake pads and cable tension; clean and lubricate the folding joint with light oil; check all fasteners and tighten as needed. Every 6 months: inspect brake discs for wear; clean motor area; check battery connector terminals for corrosion. Storage: charge to 50–70% if storing for more than 2 weeks — storing at 100% or 0% long-term degrades lithium battery capacity. Store indoors away from Lebanon's summer heat when possible.

For distances under 15 km in urban areas — Beirut, Tripoli, Sidon — electric scooters are genuinely practical: no fuel cost, easy parking, no traffic congestion in many situations. Practical limitations to plan for: Lebanon's road surface quality varies significantly (pothole avoidance is essential), hills reduce range, and rain requires extra caution on wet roads. A scooter works best as a last-mile tool — from car park to office, or from home to transit stop — rather than a primary long-distance vehicle.
