Worms Rumble (Nintendo Switch)

Worms Rumble takes the Worms series in a new direction, with intense real-time, arena-based combat for up to 32 players. This is the physical game card for Nintendo Switch, published by Team17.

Gameplay and features

• Real-time arena combat, a different approach from classic Worms
• Up to 32 players with cross-platform play
• Action, shooter and strategy elements in one game
• Rated PEGI 7
• On-screen text in Japanese, English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Russian, Korean and Chinese
• Physical game card for Nintendo Switch

Where earlier Worms games are known for taking turns, this one is about fast action in an arena. The player count is the headline: with up to 32 players supported, matches can be big and chaotic.

Why play it on Nintendo Switch

Worms Rumble on Nintendo Switch arrives as a physical game card, so it is easy to keep, share and carry with you. With nine on-screen languages available, it is easy to set up for different players in the same household.

The PEGI 7 rating also makes it suitable for a wide age range, which is useful when the game is played by a mixed group of friends and family.

It is a good fit if you already know the series and want to see it played differently, but you do not need any history with Worms to jump in. The idea is straightforward: enter an arena, pick your moment and take out your opponents before they take you out.

The game is listed as action, shooter and strategy, which reflects the mix of aiming and decision-making involved. It was released in June 2021 and is published by Team17. Because the age rating is PEGI 7, it also works for younger players who want to join in with older siblings or friends.
