The Medium (PS5)
The Medium is a single-player horror game for PlayStation 5, and this listing is the physical PS5 disc. You are Marianne, a medium haunted by visions you cannot explain, drawn to an abandoned communist-era resort where the origins of your powers wait to be uncovered.
Two worlds at once
Marianne's gift lets her interact with two worlds simultaneously. The physical realm shows the remnants of what once was, while the spirit world reveals hidden truths, lingering emotions and horrors born from tragedy. As you move between the two you investigate, solve puzzles and protect yourself from threats only someone like you can perceive. The game is made by the horror specialists at Bloober Team.
Gameplay and features
- A dual-perspective mechanic that lets you explore two worlds at once
- Medium powers to manipulate the environment, shield yourself from hostile forces and unleash spirit blasts
- A haunting spirit world inspired by nightmarish art and distorted memories
- Tormented souls and twisted landscapes to confront, plus a relentless being that feeds on fear
- A dark mystery that spans both worlds, with abandoned halls and forgotten chambers to explore
- A story shaped by trauma, sorrow and the echoes of the past
