The Lord of the Rings: Gollum (PS5)

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum for PlayStation 5 is an official adaptation of the literary works of J.R.R. Tolkien, and this listing is the physical PS5 disc. You play as Gollum, the enigmatic creature who has nothing left to lose and will do almost anything to retrieve his Precious.

Middle-earth through Gollum's eyes

The game takes place in parallel with The Fellowship of the Ring and tells a part of Gollum's story that the books never told in detail. His journey runs from his escape from Mordor, past the Mouth of Sauron and the demon-spider Shelob, to the dungeons of the Elvenking Thranduil. The story is described as staying faithful to the books.

Who it is for

This one suits players who like stealth, climbing and story-led adventures more than fast shooting. The game leans on Gollum's agility and wits instead of brute force, so patience and observation matter, and the moral choices give the story a personal stamp. Readers of J.R.R. Tolkien's books will find a story that aims to stay close to them.
