The Blood of Dawnwalker (PS5)

The Blood of Dawnwalker is a single-player open-world action adventure for PlayStation 5, set in 14th-century Europe at the time of the Black Death. This listing is the physical PS5 disc, published by Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe.

A vampire story in plague-struck Europe

War and plague have left the land weak, and vampires seize the moment to step out of the shadows. You play as Coen, a young man turned into a Dawnwalker who lives between the world of day and the realm of night. You can fight for your humanity or embrace the cursed powers to save your family, and the story asks whether your soul is worth the lives of those you love.

Gameplay and features

• A story you shape yourself, from saving your family to taking revenge on your sire
• Two gameplay loops: day and night, each with its own abilities, mysteries and ways to reach your goals
• Time moves forward whenever you take on a quest, so you cannot help everyone
• Vampire powers at night, including supernatural skills, and sword fighting with powerful magic as a human
• A hand-crafted open world of forests, plains, swamps, mountaintops and medieval settlements
• Ruins and remnants of an ancient civilization to explore
• Choices and even inaction change the world around you, so decisions carry weight

Why play it on PlayStation 5

The disc supports the DualSense wireless controller with vibration and is PS5 Pro Enhanced. It is a one-player, offline-only game, so no online subscription is involved. That makes it a good fit for players who want a long, story-driven role-playing adventure on the couch, with the open world, the day and night split and the choices about whom to help all built around a single character. The Black Death setting gives the story a darker tone than most fantasy worlds, and the timer on your family's survival keeps the pressure on.
