Tannenberg (PS5)
Tannenberg is a first-person shooter set on the WW1 Eastern Front, published by BlackMill Games B.V. This physical disc for PlayStation 5 is rated GENERIC 18 and brings large-scale battles between the Russian Empire, Germany and their allies.
War on the Eastern Front
The game takes place across the lakes, forests, mountains and snowy plains of the Eastern Front, and was inspired by the Battle of Tannenberg in 1914, one of the most iconic encirclement battles in history. Maps are based on real battlefields.
It was created with the same attention to detail seen in Verdun, the first entry in the WW1 Game Series, and is aimed at both first-person shooter fans and history enthusiasts.
Gameplay and features
- 40 players fighting for control of key sectors of the battlefield, each with a distinct strategic advantage
- Seven squads, including Russian Frontovik and Cossack squads, Latvian Riflemen and the Roumanians, or the Austro-Hungarian K.u.K., German Infanterie and the Bulgarians
- 50+ weapons and nine large maps that give players tactical freedom
- A 40-player game mode with full AI bot support, so large battles are available at any time
- Several game modes, including the Maneuver mode where objectives and battle lines keep shifting
- Squad play in four-man squads, with weaponry such as artillery barrages, poison gas, heavy machine guns and rifles
The game also includes graphic gore, as part of its historical detail with realistic WW1 weaponry and authentic uniforms.
