Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania (PS4)

Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania is an arcade favourite from SEGA, and this PS4 disc rolls AiAi and friends onto your console. Bounce, tilt and roll across hundreds of delightfully crafted levels and mazes while you race to stop monkey mad scientist Dr. Bad-Boon from blowing up Jungle Island.

Save Jungle Island and win back the bananas

The all-star monkey team includes AiAi, MeeMee, GonGon, Baby, YanYan and Doctor. Dr. Bad-Boon has stolen the bananas, and it is up to the gang to take him down and get them back.

Story Mode is told with a creative comic book style, so the plot comes across in an easy, lighthearted way before you get back to rolling.

Why play it on PS4

The PS4 disc is listed for offline play only with support for 4 players, which makes it a good party game. The age rating is MENA rating 3, so younger players can join in as well.

On-screen languages include English, French, German, Spanish and Italian.

It works well in short bursts. The stages are quick to learn, the minigames keep a group entertained between levels, and the character and ball customisation gives long-term players a reason to come back. If you grew up with the original games, the stage collection will feel familiar.

With more than 300 stages across three classic games, there is plenty to retry and master, and each stage is a self-contained challenge you can attempt in a few minutes.
