Super Mario 3D All-Stars is a Nintendo collection for Nintendo Switch that packs three Mario platformers into one physical game card: Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy, each optimised for the console. It is rated PEGI 7 and published and developed by Nintendo.

Three Mario games in one

According to the product details, the collection includes Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy. All three are described as optimised for Nintendo Switch, so this is a way to play a run of 3D Mario adventures without hunting down separate games.

The genres are Action, Adventure and Platformer. For anyone who has only played the more recent Mario releases, a collection like this is a way to see how the 3D side of the series developed, and for returning fans it is a straightforward way to revisit familiar titles.

The collection is built for Nintendo Switch and comes on a physical game card, which means a single card covers three games and sits neatly on a shelf. Nintendo is listed as both publisher and developer.

Language support is Japanese, English, French and German. Arabic and Spanish are not listed, so check that English, French or German works for the player before ordering.

Who it suits

A collection like this suits two kinds of buyer. Newer Mario fans can see where the 3D games began, while long-time fans get three well-known adventures on one card, tuned for the Switch. With support for up to 2 players and a PEGI 7 rating, it also works for a parent and child sharing the screen.

Because all three games come on a single game card, there is nothing to juggle between titles: one card, three Mario adventures, and one spot on the shelf.
