Split Fiction (PS5)

Split Fiction is a boundary-pushing co-op adventure from the studio behind It Takes Two, published by EA Swiss Sarl and supplied here on a physical disc for PlayStation 5. It is built for two players, carries a MENA rating of 12 and has been out since 6 March 2025. Order online and it is delivered across Lebanon.

Two writers trapped in their own stories

Mio and Zoe are contrasting writers who get hooked up to a machine designed to steal their creative ideas. The experiment leaves both of them trapped inside their own stories, and the only way out is to rely on each other. The game follows their friendship as they jump between sci-fi and fantasy worlds, mastering new abilities and tackling very different challenges along the way.

Gameplay and features

• True co-op adventure: a split-screen game tailored for two, where you coordinate actions and timing
• Friend's Pass: invite a partner to join for free, including for cross-platform play, as long as one player owns the full game
• New mechanics and abilities in every level, alternating between sci-fi and fantasy settings
• Set pieces that include escaping a sun going supernova, a dance battle against a monkey, hoverboard tricks and a fight with an evil kitty
• A mix of platforming, stealth and puzzles
• Optional in-game purchases

The Friend's Pass comes with conditions: it needs a persistent internet connection and a platform account for the guest, and the host must own the full game. Online play with a partner uses PlayStation Plus, with support for up to two online players.

Why play it on PS5

The PS5 disc supports DualSense vibration, so impacts and movement reach your hands during the co-op action. It is also PS5 Pro Enhanced, which is worth knowing if you own or plan to buy a PS5 Pro. Remember that this is a disc, so you need a PS5 console with a disc drive; it will not run on a PS5 Digital Edition.

On-screen text is available in Chinese, German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish and Brazilian Portuguese. Arabic is not listed.

Split Fiction is made for two people who want to finish a story together, whether that is on one couch or online.
