SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS (PS4)

SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS is a Sonic collection for PlayStation 4, published by SEGA of America, Inc. and supplied as a physical disc. It was released on 25 October 2024, carries a GENERIC 7 rating and combines a new Shadow story with a full remaster of a Sonic favourite.

A new Shadow story and a remastered classic

Shadow the Hedgehog returns alongside Classic and Modern Sonic in an all-new collection that offers two distinct experiences. The first is a brand-new story campaign starring Shadow, built around never-before-seen abilities and iconic stages from his history, with an expansive hub world to explore and secrets to find.

Shadow's nemesis, Black Doom, has reemerged and threatens to take over the world once again. Shadow must journey into his past, confront his painful memories and unlock new dark powers to save the world. The second experience is a complete remaster of SONIC GENERATIONS, a time-travelling adventure that gathers the greatest hits of 3D and 2D Sonic stages with upgraded visuals and new bonus content.

Gameplay and features

• Standalone Shadow campaign with Doom Powers that let you surf on water, fly over obstacles and stop time with Chaos Control
• Relive signature levels from Shadow's previous adventures in both 3D and 2D
• White Space, an all-new hub world inspired by the open-zone gameplay of Sonic Frontiers
• A complete remaster of SONIC GENERATIONS, with updated visuals and reworked cinematics
• Modern and Classic Sonic teaming up against Dr. Eggman, his past self and the Time Eater
• Extended prologue animations with never-before-seen deleted scenes, a bonus for PlayStation players

The hub world gives Shadow room to roam, and as he gains new powers he can explore further and uncover more of its secrets.
