SNIPER GHOST WARRIOR CONTRACTS 2 (PS4)

SNIPER GHOST WARRIOR CONTRACTS 2 is a single-player sniper shooter for PlayStation 4, published and developed by CI Games S.A. and supplied as a physical disc. It carries a MENA rating of 18 and sets you up as a contract assassin working in the modern-day Middle East.

Contracts in a lawless region

You play Raven, a Contract Sniper Assassin, who takes on a new series of contracts in a lawless region of the Middle East. His task is to topple an insidious criminal syndicate and bring its members to justice, through high-pressure tactical combat deep inside enemy territory.

The game includes the Butcher's Banquet expansion, which adds a new region called The Temple. It is a desert-like area of oases, waterfalls and temples, with new objectives and contracts that target the notorious Mahmoud Zarza, known as The Butcher.

Gameplay and features

• Extreme-range sniping, with many targets more than 1000m away, a first for the series
• A wide arsenal based on realistic military equipment
• Contracts that can be replayed with a different approach to complete every objective
• Earnings that can be spent on improved gadgets and weaponry
• Upgraded visuals with an enhanced game engine and improved frame rate
• Graphic cinematic stealth kills

The developer calls this the most challenging entry in the series so far, so it is aimed at players who like a demanding, precise approach.

Why play it on PS4

The disc is a single-player experience, listed for one player. On-screen languages include English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Polish, Russian, Czech, Portuguese (Brazil), Korean and Chinese.

The MENA rating of 18 means this one is for adults only, so check it before buying as a present.

Before you order, note the practical points. This is a PlayStation 4 disc, so you need a console with a disc drive. The MENA rating of 18 means the game is for adults, and it is a single-player experience, so there is no multiplayer to organise. If you enjoy planning each approach and replaying contracts to improve your results, the structure described in the listing suits that style well.
