Shadow Warrior (PS4)

Shadow Warrior (PS4) is a bold reimagining of a cult classic first-person shooter, made by Flying Wild Hog and published by Devolver Digital. It combines viciously over-the-top gunplay with the precision of a katana in an arcade-style shooter. This is the physical disc for PlayStation 4, rated PEGI 18.

The offbeat tale of Lo Wang

You play Lo Wang, a corporate shogun working for Zilla Enterprise. His deceitful employer sends him to acquire a legendary blade of limitless power, and then betrays him and leaves him for dead. Lo Wang soon learns that the blade is connected to ancient gods from another realm, who are preparing to push our world to the brink of destruction.

The reluctant hero has to become a legend. To uncover the truth behind the demonic invasion and banish evil back into the darkness, he relies on a combination of gun, blade, magic and wit.

It is a shooter with a personality: the tone is offbeat, the violence is exaggerated, and the story never takes itself too seriously even while the world is ending.
