Screamer (PS5)
Screamer (PS5) is a futuristic arcade racing game from Milestone, where cars do not just race, they fight. Set in a neon-lit universe with 90s anime vibes, it is on a physical disc for PlayStation 5 and rated MENA 16.
A tournament with five reasons to win
Everyone in the Screamer tournament has a reason to be there: longing, ambition or vengeance. Five teams enter, made up of soldiers, scientists, criminals, superstars and ruthless magnates, all led by a mysterious master. Each driver steers a vehicle that mirrors their style, with its own design and a unique ability.
Gameplay and features
- The ECHO system, which lets you juggle Boost, Strike and Shield to stay ahead and knock rivals off the track
- Overdrive, a full-throttle state in which nobody and nothing in your path is spared
- Game modes including Team Races, where crossing the finish line matters as much as taking opponents down, and modes built around staying in Overdrive
- Online play for up to 16 players with PlayStation Plus, which is optional
- Split-screen racing for up to 4 players
- PS5 Pro Enhanced support
A bespoke design and ability for each driver keeps every team different. The team-based Screamer tournament is built for chasing the line and fighting at once.
Why play it on PlayStation 5
Screamer uses the DualSense wireless controller's vibration and trigger effects as a required feature, so the haptics are part of how the game is meant to be played. The PS5 Pro Enhanced label means it is tuned for the more powerful console, and the couch split-screen mode turns the living room into a track.
