RESIDENT EVIL 7 biohazard (PS5)

RESIDENT EVIL 7 biohazard is a first-person survival-horror game for PlayStation 5 that marked a new beginning for the series. Set in an abandoned farmhouse in the American South, it uses an Isolated View perspective and Capcom's RE Engine to make horror look photorealistic. This listing is the physical PS5 disc, rated GENERIC 18.

An abandoned farmhouse, a new kind of horror

Menace and isolation seethe through the rotting walls of the farmhouse. The game was a full model change for the series: a new first-person view that Capcom calls Isolated View puts you directly inside the nightmare rather than watching it from behind a character.

Powered by the RE Engine, the horror aims for photorealism so overwhelming that you will not be able to turn away. The description invites you to enter a terrifyingly new world and survive.

The first-person camera changes how the game feels: you see the farmhouse through your own character's eyes, which makes every dark corridor and every sound more personal.

Why play it on PS5

Horror benefits from detail and feedback, and the PS5 provides both. The DualSense wireless controller supports vibration and trigger effects, and the game supports Remote Play.

The disc needs a PS5 with a disc drive. On-screen text covers many language options, including Arabic, so menus and subtitles are available for Arabic readers, and the GENERIC 18 rating means it is intended for adults. The game is published by CE Europe Limited, and Capcom holds the copyright.

Released on 13 June 2022 in this PS5 edition, the game is a single-player experience with optional in-game purchases.
