REMATCH (PS5)

REMATCH is a football game for PlayStation 5 from Sloclap, released on 19 June 2025. Instead of controlling a whole team, you control a single player from a third-person view, and winning depends on skill and teamwork. It is a physical PS5 disc, rated MENA 3, with Arabic on-screen text.

A new perspective on football

The game puts you in the action: tackle, dribble, aim and shoot from an immersive viewpoint behind your player. With one-player control, every decision matters. You observe the play, position yourself and execute, and you rely on your teammates to prevail.

It describes itself as credible football with an arcade twist. There are no fouls, no offsides and no pauses, so the pace stays high, and there are no player stats, which means victory comes from skill and tactical coordination rather than ratings.

The publisher stresses accessibility with depth. Just like real football, winning calls for accuracy, quick reactions and flawless team collaboration, but the basic moves are simple to perform.

Why play it on PS5

The game is designed from the ground up for online team play, with responsive gameplay that is meant to feel fair. PlayStation Plus is required for online play and the game requires an online connection, so make sure you have both before you buy. DualSense vibration is supported, and Remote Play works too.

Arabic on-screen text is supported, together with 13 other languages including English, French, German and Spanish, so menus and subtitles are accessible to Arabic readers. In-game purchases are optional.

As a result, this is a game for players who enjoy football but would like something faster and more tactical than a traditional simulation. You can play with friends or with other players online, and the accessible mechanics are described as having plenty of depth, so there is room to improve over time.
