Who it suits

The Huntsman V2 is built for players who value response speed. Up to true 8000 Hz polling means the keyboard reports your inputs to the PC far more often than a standard 1000 Hz board, and the linear optical switches give a smooth, quick press.

Because it is a full-size board with media keys and a wrist rest, it also suits a main desk PC where you game, work and listen to music on the same keyboard.

Switches, keycaps and lighting

Razer Linear Red Optical switches register presses with light, which Razer describes as light and instant. There is no click or bump, so repeated taps feel smooth and consistent.

The keycaps are doubleshot PBT, and the aluminium matte top plate gives the board a firm, clean look. Chroma RGB lighting is configurable per key, and you can store up to 5 keybinding profiles in hybrid on-board storage.

Connection and comfort

A wired braided fibre cable provides the connection, and the ergonomic wrist rest helps keep your hands comfortable during long sessions. Fully programmable keys and macro recording let you adapt the layout to the games you play.

Speed and response

HyperPolling at up to true 8000 Hz is the headline feature here. A higher polling rate shortens the interval between the keyboard reporting your input and the PC receiving it, which matters most in fast competitive games. Combined with N-key rollover and anti-ghosting, it keeps complex key combinations accurate.
