Razer BlackWidow V3 Tenkeyless Mechanical Gaming Keyboard (Green Switch) - Black

The Razer BlackWidow V3 Tenkeyless Mechanical Gaming Keyboard (Green Switch) - Black removes the numpad to give you a smaller, more desk-friendly mechanical keyboard. It keeps tactile, clicky Razer Green switches, Razer Chroma RGB per-key lighting and fully programmable keys with macro recording.

Key features

• Tenkeyless layout (no numpad), US layout
• Razer Green mechanical switches, tactile and clicky
• ABS keycaps
• Razer Chroma RGB per-key backlighting with 16.8 million colours
• Wired connection with an attached USB cable and cable routing options
• 1000 Hz polling and N-key rollover with anti-ghosting
• Fully programmable keys with on-the-fly macro recording and a gaming mode
• Aluminium matte top plate

Who it suits

A tenkeyless layout is a good compromise for players who rarely use the numpad. Dropping it brings your mouse hand closer to centre, which many gamers find more comfortable, while the function row, navigation keys and arrow keys stay in place.

The wired design means nothing to charge. The cable routing options help you place the cable cleanly on the desk, and Razer Synapse 3 handles customisation of lighting and keys.

Design and layout

With the numpad removed, the BlackWidow V3 Tenkeyless is narrower than a full-size board and easier to fit on a small desk. The US layout keeps the familiar key arrangement, and the aluminium matte top plate gives it a tidy finish.

Polling at 1000 Hz and N-key rollover with anti-ghosting keep response quick, while fully programmable keys let you adapt the board to the games you play.

Switches, lighting and control

Razer Green switches give a clear click and tactile bump on every press. The aluminium matte top plate gives the board a clean, durable look and a solid feel.

Chroma RGB lighting is configurable per key with 16.8 million colours. You can record macros on the fly, and gaming mode is there for matches where you need to avoid accidental interruptions.

What to know

This model keeps things lean: it has no wrist rest, no media keys and no on-board memory, so settings are handled through the software rather than saved on the keyboard. If you want those extras, look at the wider range of Razer keyboards. For a compact, wired clicky board, it covers the essentials.
