Who it suits

This is a straightforward full-size keyboard for players who want the audible, tactile feedback of a clicky switch. The wired connection means no batteries and no pairing, and the cable routing options help you place the cable where it suits your desk.

It keeps things simple: no wrist rest, no dedicated media keys and no USB passthrough, so it is aimed at users who want the core mechanical keyboard experience.

Switches, lighting and control

Razer Green switches give a distinct click and a tactile bump, which many typists enjoy for both gaming and writing. They are rated for 80 million keystrokes, so the keyboard is designed for heavy use.

Chroma RGB lighting is per key, with 16.8 million colours, and you can record macros on the fly and store up to 5 profiles in the hybrid on-board memory.

What to know before you buy

This BlackWidow keeps the feature list focused. It has no wrist rest, no dedicated media keys and no USB passthrough, so if you want those extras you may prefer a different model in the range. In return, you get a full-size layout, Razer Chroma lighting and the clicky Razer Green switch.

The attached cable has cable routing options, so you can route it in the way that best suits your desk. 1000 Hz polling and N-key rollover with built-in anti-ghosting keep response quick.
