Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 (PS4)

Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 is the sequel in SEGA's puzzle mash-up series, and this PS4 disc brings Japan's beloved Puyo Puyo together with the world-famous Tetris franchise once more. The rules are easy: match four or more same-coloured Puyos or complete a line of blocks to clear them from your board and send garbage into your opponent's game.

Puyos and Tetriminos, again

You can play traditional Puyo Puyo, traditional Tetris or mix them together to level up your game. Offline or online, there are plenty of modes to play the way you want, from single-player Adventure to couch Versus and ranked online matches.

The new story adventure gives the game vibrant characters and a story to follow, adding dimension to the puzzle play.

Why play it on PS4

The disc supports 4 players on one console, and online play, which is optional, also supports up to 4 players and requires PlayStation Plus. The age rating is MENA rating 3, so it works for families.

On-screen languages include English, French, German, Spanish and Italian.

It is a strong choice for groups. The Skill Battle mode adds a layer of strategy on top of the familiar puzzle rules, so matches are not decided only by speed, and the challenge modes give solo players something to practise on.

The Family genre label fits the game well: the rules take a minute to learn, and the colourful characters and story mode give younger players something to enjoy besides competitive play.
