Pokémon Brilliant Diamond (Nintendo Switch)

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond sends you on a journey through the Sinnoh region, published by Nintendo on a physical game card for Nintendo Switch. It is a role-playing adventure rated PEGI 7, and the listing shows a player count of up to 16.

A journey through Sinnoh

As with every mainline Pokémon adventure, you begin as a young trainer with a first partner, set out to catch and train a team, and travel across a region of towns, routes and caves. Here that region is Sinnoh, and the game is a modern take on the setting for Nintendo Switch.

Brilliant Diamond and its sister game Shining Pearl share the same story and region, with a few differences in the Pokémon you can find. Diamond features the time-bending Dialga on its cover. If you enjoy collecting, battling and exploring at your own pace, it is a comfortable and familiar place to settle in.

The journey runs from your home town through a series of gyms toward the Pokémon League, and the Pokémon walking behind you add personality to every route. Beneath the surface, the Grand Underground gives you an alternative to simply walking from place to place: you can explore its caves, dig for treasure and meet Pokémon there. Together these touches give the game a relaxed rhythm that suits players who like to take their time.
