The hunt for the Crystal Stars

Nintendo's one-line description promises an adventure that will crease you up, which tells you to expect humour as well as exploration. The goal is clear: Mario is in the hunt for the Crystal Stars. The listing does not go into the plot beyond that, so we keep to what is confirmed. If you enjoy Mario adventures where jokes and a quest sit side by side, that is the pitch.

Why play it on Nintendo Switch

This Switch release is on a physical game card, so you can start without downloading it. A rating of PEGI 7 makes it a good fit for a household with younger Mario fans, while the single-player design suits anyone who wants an adventure to play at their own pace. Because it is part of the Super Mario series, it should feel familiar to anyone who has played other Mario games on the console. Text options are available in several languages, but Arabic is not among them. This Switch edition was released on 23 May 2024. As with other Mario adventures, it is a good gift for a younger player, and since the listing list only one player, it works best as a personal quest rather than a party game.
