OUTRIDERS (PS5)
OUTRIDERS is a sci-fi action game developed by PCF Group and published by Square Enix. On this PS5 disc you fight across a hostile alien planet, building a character from four classes and hundreds of mods, with online co-op for up to three players.
A journey of death on Enoch
The setting is Enoch, where mankind is bleeding out in the trenches and the only hope is a mysterious signal on a hostile alien planet. You journey across that planet in pursuit of the signal, and if you survive, the powerful Ereshkigal waits as the ultimate test. It is a grim, high-stakes premise, and it frames the whole game as a fight for what is left of humanity. Rated MENA 18, it is written for adult players.
Gameplay and features
- Four classes with distinct abilities: the Trickster assassinates, the Pyromancer incinerates, the Devastator punishes up close and the Technomancer handles heavy ordnance at range.
- Buildcrafting: hundreds of mods across guns and gear, class-based skill trees and attribute points.
- Savage sci-fi weapons and gear, with transmog so you can change your look to any piece of gear you have collected.
- Raise the world tier to face harder enemies and receive better loot.
- Endgame Expeditions: 18 hand-crafted levels with unique mechanics and challenges, plus The Trial of Tarya Gratar dungeon crawl with brutal bosses.
- Co-op for up to 3 online players with PS Plus; online play is required, with no offline mode.
Why play it on PS5
This is the PS5 disc release, aimed at players who want a co-op action game with plenty of build depth. The DualSense controller's vibration function is listed for this release. Online play requires PS Plus, and the credits state it is online only with no offline modes, so make sure your connection and subscription are ready before you buy. The official description also mentions the WORLDSLAYER expansion, which lets owners of OUTRIDERS dive into new content such as extra weapons, mods and gear, PAX hybrid class trees, a new endgame with Ascension Points and Apocalypse difficulty tiers up to level 40; the listing do not say that the disc itself includes it.
