Onimusha: Way of the Sword – Premium Deluxe Steelbook (Nintendo Switch 2)

Onimusha: Way of the Sword – Premium Deluxe Steelbook is a swordplay action game from Capcom, supplied here on a physical game card for Nintendo Switch 2. It is a new entry in the Onimusha series and is rated PEGI 18, so it is aimed squarely at adult players.

Dark fantasy in Edo-period Kyoto

Capcom describes the game as a one of a kind swordplay action experience. Going by the publisher's description of this title, you follow a samurai, Miyamoto Musashi, who arrives in Kyoto wanting to prove he is unmatched in the way of the sword. The city is twisted by a malevolent cloud called Malice, which has drawn monsters from the underworld, known as Genma, into the world of the living. Musashi carries the Oni Gauntlet, a mystical artifact that lets him slay Genma, and the story follows his search for a reason to fight.

• The Oni Gauntlet gives Musashi power beyond human limits, including the ability to absorb Genma souls for extra strength.

• Single-player: the Switch 2 listing shows 1 player.
• Physical game card for Nintendo Switch 2.
• On-screen language options include English, Japanese, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Korean, Chinese and Polish.

Why this edition on Nintendo Switch 2

This listing is the Premium Deluxe Steelbook edition, and the name points to special steelbook packaging for collectors. The listing do not itemise any extra contents, so treat the steelbook case as the headline of the edition rather than assuming bonus items. You still get the full game on a Nintendo Switch 2 game card, which means no download is needed before playing. Because the game is rated PEGI 18, it is best kept for adult players in the household.
