ON THE ROAD - The Truck Simulator (PS5)

ON THE ROAD - The Truck Simulator is a truck simulation game for PlayStation 5, published by AEROSOFT GMBH and released in November 2021. You drive licensed MAN and Scania trucks across a large open world of German roads, and you can found and grow your own transport company. It is a 1-player, offline game rated GENERIC 3.

Germany's roads, scaled 1:10

The map covers around 6,000 km of motorway and 600 km of country road at a scale of 1:10, with detailed motorway interchanges, all large waterways and ground based on real satellite data. There are 16 cities, some with unique road designs such as roundabouts and bridges, including Hamburg, Bremen, Cologne, Hannover and Berlin.

Day and night changes and weather such as rain affect the drive. Points of interest are scattered in cities and along motorways and country roads.

Why play it on PlayStation 5

On PS5 the game supports vibration on the DualSense wireless controller. It is offline and for 1 player.

Management is part of the game. Hire drivers with weekly salaries, use trailer parking spaces on your company premises via the logistics menu, and plan combined routes with rest times in mind. Leaving the vehicle is possible and required.

On-screen text is available in German, Spanish, French and English. Arabic is not listed.

Thanks to the cooperation with MAN and Scania, the trucks are described as behaving very realistically, including automatic transmissions, retarder/intarder and assistance systems.
