NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound (PS5)

NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound is an action game for PlayStation 5, published by DOTEMU and released in July 2025. It is a side-scrolling entry in the series, made by The Game Kitchen, the team behind Blasphemous, and it is supplied on a physical disc. It is a 1-player game with a GENERIC 16 age rating.

An untold chapter of the Ninja Gaiden saga

Ryu Hayabusa journeys to America to honour his father's will. While he is away, the barrier between the human and demon worlds shatters, and a terrifying army descends on the Hayabusa Village, which now faces an unprecedented threat without him.

To stand against it, a young ninja from the village named Kenji Mozu rises to the challenge. The game blends the classic lore and gameplay of the series from its classic era with the depth and intensity of the modern 3D entries.

Why play it on PlayStation 5

The visuals are the headline on PS5: the pixel art is described as stunning and meticulously crafted, with a brutal, nostalgia-filled aesthetic that pays homage to the past while pushing modern pixel art forward.

On-screen text is available in Catalan, German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian and Ukrainian. Arabic is not listed. The edition is Standard.

The classic-era pick-up-and-play feel is kept, with extra layers of depth on top, so fans of the old games and players who simply want quick, readable action are both catered for. The game asks whether you have what it takes to become a true ninja master.
