New Pokémon Snap (Nintendo Switch)

New Pokémon Snap is an adventure game for Nintendo Switch published by Nintendo and released in April 2021. Instead of battling, you take pictures: the game is about photographing wild Pokémon and learning what the Lental region is hiding. It is a one-player title rated PEGI 3, supplied as a physical game card.

A photo expedition in the Lental region

The premise is gentle and curious. You travel to the Lental region to photograph its wild Pokémon, and along the way you uncover the secrets of the place itself.

Because the core activity is photography rather than combat, it is a different kind of Pokémon game. The PEGI 3 rating means it is suitable for all ages.

The game was released on 30 April 2021 and is published by Nintendo. With a single player and a photography focus, it is the kind of title that works when you want something relaxed instead of competitive. The description mentions wild Pokémon and the region's secrets, so the focus is on exploring and observing.
