Need for Speed Heat (PS4)

Need for Speed Heat is a street-racing game for PlayStation 4, published by EA and released in November 2019. It comes as a physical disc and carries a PEGI 12 age rating. The game is built around a simple tension: the daytime is for hustling, the night is for taking real risks, and a city's rogue police force is always part of the picture.

Climb into street racing's elite

The setup is straightforward. You are a racer looking for a way into the elite end of street racing, and the road there runs through a city whose police force has gone rogue. Staying ahead of them is as much a part of the game as winning the races themselves.

That split between daytime hustling and night-time risk gives the game its rhythm. You decide how much trouble you are willing to attract, because the same city that offers a way up is also the one chasing you.

Why play it on PlayStation 4

The PS4 disc supports DUALSHOCK 4 vibration, so the engine, the collisions and the bumps in the road come through the pad in your hands. Online racing needs a PS Plus subscription, but online play is optional, so the game runs without one.

On-screen text is available in English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Polish, Russian and Arabic, which makes menus and subtitles easy to follow for Arabic-speaking players.
