Mortal Kombat X (PS4)

Mortal Kombat X is a PS4 fighting game that mixes a cinematic presentation with all-new gameplay. The standard edition arrives on a physical disc, published by Warner Bros. Interactive and developed by NetherRealm Studios.

The next generation of Mortal Kombat

Mortal Kombat X came out in April 2015 for PlayStation 4, and its pitch is a cinematic presentation combined with all-new gameplay. The brutality is part of the package, which is why the age rating is MENA rating 18.

The big change for the franchise is variation. For the first time, you can pick from several variations of each character, and that choice affects both your strategy and your fighting style. It gives the roster more depth than a single fixed style per fighter.

Mortal Kombat X is described as the next generation of the franchise, so it suits players who want a full-fat fighting game rather than a quick pick-up title. You can learn a favourite fighter in one variation, then come back and try another to see how the same character changes your approach.

Why play Mortal Kombat X on PS4

The PS4 version supports DUALSHOCK 4 vibration, so impacts come through the controller. Two players can fight on one console, and the disc format means you can keep the game on a shelf or hand it on to a friend.

On-screen text is available in English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Polish, Russian and Brazilian Portuguese. Arabic is not listed for this edition.
