Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate (PS5)

Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate is a fighting game on a PlayStation 5 disc, published by Warner Bros. Interactive and developed by NetherRealm Studios. It brings the Mortal Kombat series' brutal, cinematic style to PS5 with a roster of new and returning Klassic Fighters, and carries a MENA rating of 18.

A cinematic story over 25 years in the making

Mortal Kombat 11 continues a saga that stretches back more than 25 years, and its story mode is built like a film: fighters from across the series' history clash in a narrative that moves from one bruising bout to the next. It is the part of the game that rewards players who like their fighting games with a plot.

A new graphics engine puts you right up against the action, so every skull-shattering, eye-popping moment lands with weight.

Gameplay and features

• Custom Character Variations give you far more control over how each fighter looks and plays
• A roster of new and returning Klassic Fighters
• A cinematic story mode that continues the long-running Mortal Kombat saga
• A new graphics engine built to show off the series' trademark brutality
• Up to 2 players on the same console
• Online play for up to 8 players with PlayStation Plus
• Online play is optional, and in-game purchases are optional

Custom Character Variations are the heart of the system: rather than playing every character the same way as everyone else, you shape your own version of a fighter and bring that build into the match.

Why play it on PS5

This is a physical disc for PlayStation 5, so you can pop it into your console and start fighting straight away. Local two-player matches make it an easy pick for a game night with a friend on the couch, and a second controller from our range keeps everyone on their own pad.

If you want to go online, the game supports up to 8 online players, and PlayStation Plus is required for online play. Nothing forces you online, though: the story mode and local matches work without it.

On-screen text is available in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Polish and Russian. Arabic is not listed in the specs.
