Monster Truck Championship (Nintendo Switch)

Monster Truck Championship is a racing and simulation game from Nacon that describes itself as the first Monster Truck simulation. This listing is the standard edition on a physical Nintendo Switch game card, rated PEGI 3 and listed for one to eight players.

The first Monster Truck simulation

That claim, the first Monster Truck simulation, is the main hook of the game, and the genre tags back it up: Racing and Simulation. It positions itself as a more hands-on take on the trucks than a pure spectacle.

Nacon published the game, and it was released on 19 November 2020. The player count is generous at one to eight, which opens it up to groups of friends and family.

Gameplay and features

• Monster truck racing and simulation
• Supports one to eight players
• Rated PEGI 3, suitable for all ages
• Published by Nacon
• Physical game card for Nintendo Switch
• Text in nine languages including English, French, German and Spanish

The specs for this edition focus on the basics, so the key points are the simulation focus, the wide age rating and the large player count rather than a long feature list.

A simulation label usually means more attention to how a vehicle handles, so expect a different feel from a pure arcade racer. Because the game supports up to eight players and carries a PEGI 3 rating, it can also work as a shared game for a mixed-age group.

Why play Monster Truck Championship on Nintendo Switch

It suits fans of monster trucks who like the idea of a simulation, and its PEGI 3 rating means younger players can join the same session. Support for up to eight players makes it flexible for parties.

The physical card is simple to keep in your collection or lend out. On-screen languages are English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Korean and Chinese. Arabic is not listed.
