MONOPOLY Madness (PS4)

MONOPOLY Madness is a party game from Ubisoft that takes the property-trading classic and turns it into a real-time race. This listing is the standard edition on a physical PS4 disc, rated MENA rating 3 and playable by up to four players locally.

Race to replace Mr. MONOPOLY

Mr. MONOPOLY is taking a vacation and needs a temporary stand-in, so players compete in real time to prove they have what it takes. The classic rules change: there is no board anymore, and you roam the streets of Monopoly City collecting money, water and electricity.

It is a fresh take on the brand, designed for quick, lively sessions instead of a long evening of dice rolls.

Gameplay and features

• Real-time competitive party gameplay with no board
• 20 new playable characters inspired by classic MONOPOLY tokens
• Four unique environments, each with several levels and layouts
• Power-ups from the Community Chests to mess with opponents
• Four players locally and up to six players online with PS Plus
• DUALSHOCK 4 vibration supported

Online play is optional and requires PS Plus, plus an internet connection and a Ubisoft account, according to the publisher.

Because there is no board, the pace is quite different from the tabletop original. Instead of waiting for your turn, everyone moves at once, grabbing resources, using power-ups from the Community Chests and trying to get ahead of the other players.

Why play MONOPOLY Madness on PS4

MONOPOLY Madness is easy to jump into, which makes it a strong pick for family gatherings and younger players. The MENA rating 3 suits all ages, and Remote Play is supported.

On-screen text is available in Spanish, French, Russian, German, Dutch, Polish, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese and English. Arabic is not listed.
