Minecraft (Nintendo Switch)

Minecraft on Nintendo Switch is the sandbox adventure where you explore randomly generated worlds and build whatever you can imagine. This listing is the standard edition on a physical game card, published by Mojang, rated PEGI 7 and listed for one to eight players.

Worlds that are different every time

Minecraft does not hand you a fixed story. Instead, each world is randomly generated, so no two adventures start the same way. You wander through biomes, gather resources, meet mobs and decide for yourself whether to build a home, dig for materials or simply see what lies beyond the next hill.

That freedom is why the game appeals to so many age groups. Younger players enjoy the creativity of building, while older players can set their own goals, from large construction projects to survival challenges.

Gameplay and features

• Explore randomly generated worlds
• Build amazing things with the resources you collect
• Action and adventure gameplay in an open sandbox
• Supports one to eight players
• Rated PEGI 7, suitable for younger players
• Physical game card for Nintendo Switch

With no fixed script to follow, you can play in short bursts or lose an entire afternoon to a single build. The game rewards curiosity and creativity at least as much as combat.

If you are new to Minecraft, a good way in is to gather basic resources, put together a simple shelter and then work outwards, adding tools and bigger projects as you learn what the world has to offer.

Why play Minecraft on Nintendo Switch

Minecraft is one of the easiest games to recommend for a Nintendo Switch household. It works for solo play, and with support for up to eight players it also works as a shared creative space for friends and family.

A physical game card is simple to keep with your other titles or hand to another player. On-screen text is available in Japanese, English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Russian, Korean and Chinese. Arabic is not listed.
