METAL GEAR SURVIVE (PS4)

METAL GEAR SURVIVE from KONAMI builds on the stealth action of METAL GEAR SOLID V and adds exploration and survival. This PS4 disc is a spin-off from the main story, set in a strange alternative universe, where you create your own character and learn to stay alive.

Survive in an alternative universe

Your goal is to develop the survival skills the hostile environment demands. You scavenge resources, craft weapons, build a base camp and explore the unknown as you push forward.

When you want company, co-op mode lets you assemble a team of four players to infiltrate and defend areas from hordes of creatures. Teamwork and resourcefulness are what keep you going as the enemies get steadily tougher.

Why play it on PS4

This game needs an internet connection to play, and PlayStation Plus is required for online play, with up to 4 online players. Remote Play is supported, and the DUALSHOCK 4 controller provides vibration.

The age rating is MENA rating 16, and optional in-game purchases are noted. On-screen languages include English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Japanese and Portuguese (Brazil).

This is a good fit if you want something different from a straight stealth game. The mix of scavenging, crafting and base building gives every session a goal, and the four-player co-op missions add a team element to the survival loop. Keep in mind the online connection requirement, because the listing states it is needed to play the game.
