METAL GEAR SOLID: MASTER COLLECTION Vol.1 (Nintendo Switch)

METAL GEAR SOLID: MASTER COLLECTION Vol.1 is a tactical espionage action game for Nintendo Switch, published by KONAMI. It is the first volume of the Master Collection, plays as a single-player game and carries a PEGI 18 rating, so it is aimed at adult players.

Tactical espionage action

KONAMI describes the series with a single phrase: Tactical Espionage Action. That phrase gives a clear idea of what to expect: espionage themes and tactical play, delivered as an action game.

As the first volume of the Master Collection, this release is the starting point for the collection. It is listed in the Action genre and supports one player.

Stealth action rewards patience, which suits a game you can pick up in short sessions or settle into for longer play. If you have been looking for a way to try the series, a first volume is the logical place to start.

The practical details are simple: it is a one-player game on a physical card, with on-screen text in six languages and an adult-only rating. For a series built around tension and tactics, a quiet solo session is the natural way to play.

Why play it on Nintendo Switch

This is a Nintendo Switch game card, so you can insert it and play without a download. The single-player design makes it suited to solo sessions, which is how stealth games are usually enjoyed.

The PEGI 18 rating is worth noting if you are buying for a household with younger players: this release is intended for adults only. Beyond that, it is a compact way to add a long-running series to a Switch library.
