The Battle Network, assembled and updated

CAPCOM presents this collection as the Battle Network series brought together in one package, with upgrades and updates. The result is a single Nintendo Switch release that brings the series together in one place.

The listing gives the genres as Action and Strategy, which points to a mix of action and tactical decision-making. It is rated PEGI 7, so it is suitable for younger players as well as adults.

Gameplay and features

• The Battle Network series collected in one Legacy Collection
• Upgraded and updated for Nintendo Switch
• Action and Strategy genres
• Support for one or two players
• Rated PEGI 7
• On-screen text in English, Japanese and Chinese
• Physical game card for Nintendo Switch

Because it combines the Action and Strategy genres, it is a collection for players who like to plan as well as react. If you like games where timing and planning both matter, the format should appeal.

The Legacy Collection name points to a package that brings an older series to a current console. Here the Battle Network has been assembled, upgraded and updated, and with up to two players supported you can share it with someone else instead of passing the console back and forth.

Why play it on Nintendo Switch

As a Nintendo Switch game card, the collection is simple to pick up and play. A compilation of this kind also suits a console that you use for short sessions and long ones alike, since you can choose how much time to spend each time you play.

The two-player support means that the collection can be shared, rather than played alone. Note that the on-screen languages are English, Japanese and Chinese, so Arabic and several European languages are not listed.
