Logitech G502 HERO

The Logitech G502 HERO is a wired USB gaming mouse built around the HERO 25K sensor, with 11 programmable buttons, tunable weights and LIGHTSYNC RGB lighting. It suits players who like to tune how a mouse feels, and it is offered in the official League of Legends K/DA design (white and black with K/DA graphics) as well as in plain black.

Key features

• HERO 25K sensor covering 100 to 25,600 DPI, with 400+ IPS tracking speed and 40+ G acceleration.
• 1,000 Hz report rate, meaning the mouse reports its position every 1 ms.
• 11 programmable buttons that you can map to game actions, macros or shortcuts.
• Tunable weight: five removable 3.6 g weights let you add up to 18 g to the mouse.
• On-board memory keeps your settings on the mouse itself.
• LIGHTSYNC RGB lighting for a setup that matches the rest of your gear.
• Wired USB connection, so there is no battery to charge or replace.
• Works with PC, Mac and ChromeOS.

Who the G502 HERO is for

If you move between fast shooters, strategy games and MOBAs, the spread of 11 programmable buttons gives you room to keep abilities, weapon swaps or macros under your thumb. The adjustable DPI range, from 100 up to 25,600, means you can run a low setting for precise aim or a high one for quick sweeps across a large display.

The removable weights are the other big draw. The mouse weighs 121 g on its own, and the five 3.6 g weights, which come in their own case, let you fine-tune the balance until it feels right in your hand. Because the settings are stored on the mouse, your profile follows you from one computer to another.

Performance and build

The HERO 25K sensor is the core of the G502 HERO. Its 100 to 25,600 DPI range, 400+ IPS tracking and 40+ G acceleration mean the cursor keeps up when you flick quickly, and the 1,000 Hz report rate updates the mouse position every millisecond. Physically, the body measures 131.2 x 75 x 40 mm, which makes it a large mouse that fills the palm.

Before you buy, it helps to know what comes with it: the mouse, the five 3.6 g weights with their case, and the user documentation. The K/DA version carries the official League of Legends K/DA design, so it also works as a display piece on a gaming desk.

You can pick between two options: the K/DA edition in white and black with official League of Legends K/DA graphics, or the Black version.
