Why play it on PS4

The PS4 disc is a one-player game released on 20 September 2021, with a GENERIC 12 age rating. Story-led adventures suit a long, solo session on the couch.

On-screen languages are Spanish, Chinese, French, Japanese, Russian, German, Polish, Portuguese, Italian, English and Korean. Arabic is not listed.

The Rot are the game's signature idea: you do not just collect them, you grow them as a team and use them to change the world around you. That, plus a clear combat system, gives the game both exploration and action. It suits anyone who wants an atmospheric, narrative-driven adventure with a touch of mystery.

The setting is an overgrown forest and an abandoned village, and the story hinges on wandering spirits who are trapped and need guiding. If that sounds like the kind of atmospheric adventure you enjoy, the physical disc keeps the whole thing on your shelf.

The format is a physical disc for PlayStation 4, in the Standard edition.
