Hades (PS5)

Overview

Hades is the critically acclaimed action roguelike from Supergiant Games — the independent studio behind Bastion, Transistor, and Pyre — now available as a physical disc for PlayStation 5. You step into the sandals of Zagreus, immortal Prince of the Underworld, on a relentless mission to fight his way out from under his father's iron rule. Every run through the ever-shifting chambers of the Underworld is different, every death teaches you something new, and every escape attempt peels back another layer of a genuinely gripping narrative. If you're looking for a PS5 game that delivers hundreds of hours of content with razor-sharp combat and a story worth caring about, Hades belongs in your collection.

Key Features

• Mythic hack-and-slash combat: Wield an arsenal of distinct weapons — each with its own feel and playstyle — as you slash, dash, and cast your way through procedurally arranged chambers of the Underworld.
• Boons from the Olympians: Receive gifts of power from Zeus, Athena, Poseidon, and a pantheon of other gods. With dozens of Boons to mix and match, thousands of viable character builds emerge organically across your runs.
• Deep, evolving narrative: A fully-voiced cast of gods, ghosts, and monsters surrounds you. Relationships deepen over time, unlocking thousands of unique story events that reveal the true stakes of this dysfunctional divine family.
• Built for replayability: The Underworld reshuffles with every attempt. Guardian bosses remember your past encounters, and the world reacts dynamically to your progress, keeping each run feeling fresh.
• Permanent progression: The Mirror of Night lets you bank permanent upgrades between runs, ensuring meaningful advancement regardless of skill level — while a robust challenge mode is there for veterans seeking white-knuckle difficulty.
• Signature Supergiant presentation: Spectacular hand-painted environments and a blood-pumping original score create one of the most atmospheric action games on the platform.
• Broad language support: On-screen text available in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese (BR), Russian, Polish, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.
• Single-player focused: A complete, self-contained experience designed around solo play, letting the story and combat breathe fully.
