Colors Live (Nintendo Switch)

Colors Live is a creative utility for Nintendo Switch from Collecting Smiles, designed to turn your console into a portable art studio. Rated PEGI 3 and listed as a single-player title, it is aimed at drawing and painting fans.

An art studio for your console

The pitch is that your Nintendo Switch can double as a portable studio. Instead of a traditional game with levels and enemies, Colors Live is tagged under communication, education, simulation and utility, which tells you it is about creating and learning.

That makes it a different kind of purchase from most game cards: it is for people who want to make things, whether they are practising art for the first time or simply enjoy drawing on a screen.

Anyone shopping for a creative gift will appreciate that Colors Live is not another action game. It is a tool for making art on a console they may already own, rated suitable for the whole family, and it comes on a physical card that is easy to wrap and hand over.

Why use it on Nintendo Switch

A portable art studio is the whole idea here, and it lives on a console you already have. The PEGI 3 rating means children and adults can use it, which makes it a good option for households with younger family members interested in drawing.

The physical game card is simple to use, and the on-screen text is offered in Japanese, English, Spanish, French, German and Italian.
