Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (PS4)

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (PS4) is a first-person shooter from Activision, released on 3 November 2016 on PlayStation 4. It delivers three modes: a Campaign set in space, a Multiplayer with Combat Rigs, and Zombies. This is the standard physical disc, rated PEGI 18, with English and Arabic on-screen text.

War beyond Earth

In the Campaign you play as Captain Reyes, who must lead the remaining coalition forces against a relentless enemy while overcoming deadly, extreme environments of space.

Zombies takes a different route: you go back in time to fight the undead in a 1980s amusement park, complete with rides, an arcade and a functioning rollercoaster.

Gameplay and features

• Campaign as Captain Reyes in the extreme environments of space
• Multiplayer with a fluid, momentum-based movement system
• Combat Rigs, tactical suits for different styles of play
• Zombies in an 1980s amusement park
• Deep customisation and player-focused map design
• English and Arabic on-screen text

Why play it on PS4

This is a physical PlayStation 4 disc, with in-game purchases available as an option. The listed on-screen languages are English and Arabic, with Arabic covering text and menus only.

Each Combat Rig is built for totally different styles of play, so you can pick the one that matches how you like to fight.

The three-mode structure means one disc gives you a story-driven experience, an online playground and a themed Zombies mode. That variety makes it a flexible disc for different moods.

It stands apart from earlier entries because of its space setting, while the movement-based multiplayer keeps matches fast. If you like a shooter that tries something different with its environments, the combination of a space-war story and a retro-style Zombies map is worth a look.

The age rating is PEGI 18, so this one is for adult players. If you are buying for yourself or another adult who enjoys sci-fi shooters, the combination of a space campaign and customisable Combat Rigs gives it plenty of identity.
