A kung-fu fable in a post-apocalyptic world

The setting is an open world after the apocalypse, told as a kung-fu fable. That unusual combination gives the game a tone of its own, somewhere between martial arts storytelling and survival.

The two listed genres are Action and RPG, and the game is for a single player. You are meant to decide how you fight, rather than being locked into one approach.

Why play it on Nintendo Switch

THQ Nordic publishes this edition as a physical game card made for Nintendo Switch. It brings a full open-world RPG to the console in a format that is easy to store, lend or give as a gift.

The on-screen languages are English, Japanese, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Korean and Chinese. Arabic is not listed.

The combat system is the main attraction: mixing melee, shooting and mutant powers gives you room to experiment and find a style that suits you, which is the kind of freedom open-world RPG fans look for.

This one stands out for players who like to explore a big open world at their own pace. The kung-fu fable tone and the martial-arts combat system give it a personality of its own, and the PEGI 12 rating keeps it accessible to teenagers as well as adults. It is a single-player experience from start to finish.
