Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain (Nintendo Switch)

Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain (Nintendo Switch) is an education and puzzle game from Nintendo, released on 3 December 2021. It is built around a simple question: who has the brawniest brain in your family? This edition is the standard release on a physical Nintendo Switch game card, supports up to four players and is rated PEGI 3.

A family brain contest

The idea is to flex your grey matter and find out who in the household comes out on top. The title puts the emphasis on Brain vs. Brain, so it is about playing against one another rather than simply working alone.

The listed genres are Education and Puzzle. With support for up to four players, a whole family can take part, and the PEGI 3 rating means even the youngest members are included.

Why play it on Nintendo Switch

Published by Nintendo, this edition arrives as a physical game card made for Nintendo Switch. It is easy to pass around a room, which suits a game based on competition between family members.

On-screen languages include English, Japanese, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Korean and Chinese. Arabic is not listed.

A four-player brain game is a good way to bring different ages together, since puzzles and quick-thinking challenges let everyone take part, whatever their experience with video games.

Brain games like this work well at gatherings: the rules are simple to explain, rounds are short and everyone, from kids to grandparents, can compete on fairly even terms. With up to four players on one console, it is a flexible choice for evenings at home, holidays or visits from cousins.
