Climactic action, wherever you go

The official line for this release is that you can take climactic action with you wherever you go. That is the promise of having Bayonetta 2 on Nintendo Switch: a full action game that is not tied to one screen.

Action is the listed genre, and it carries the Bayonetta name through the series. PlatinumGames is the developer, and Nintendo is the publisher, so it sits alongside other first-party titles in the console's library.

Why play it on Nintendo Switch

Bayonetta 2 on Switch is a physical game card published by Nintendo. If you already enjoy the series, this is the entry that lets you keep the action going on a single console, and it is a straightforward way to build out a collection.

The support for two players gives you more than a solo experience, and the six on-screen languages cover the main European options as well as Japanese. Arabic is not listed.

Because the PEGI 16 rating indicates mature content, it is best suited to teenage and adult players. For anyone shopping on behalf of someone younger, that is worth checking before you order.

If you are new to the series, a single, self-contained action game is an easy way in. Fans of PlatinumGames will also find it a natural companion to the other Bayonetta releases on Nintendo Switch, and the two-player support adds a little extra variety to the experience.
