Asterix & Obelix Slap them All! (PS4)

Asterix & Obelix Slap them All! is a PlayStation 4 game on physical disc, developed by Mr. Nutz Studio and published by Microids. It is a completely hand-drawn, 2D horizontal scrolling beat 'em up in which Asterix and Obelix take on the Roman Empire, and it is rated GENERIC 7.

Gauls against the Roman Empire

The year is 50 B.C. and Gaul is occupied by the Romans, apart from one small village of indomitable Gauls. Asterix and Obelix travel around the world to fight the Roman Empire, in a game made in the purest tradition of the beat 'em up genre.

The Adventure mode chapters are based on existing Asterix & Obelix albums, and there is an exclusive chapter created specifically for this game. The designs are faithful to the original comic book series, with animations made especially for the game.

Why play it on PlayStation 4

The game is offline play only, with up to 2 players sharing one console, which makes it an easy pick for a family evening. The PS4 disc also plays on a PS5 console that has a disc drive.

On-screen text covers English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Polish, Russian, Japanese and Chinese. Arabic is not listed.

Because everything is offline, there is no subscription to worry about and no waiting for a lobby: put the disc in, hand a second controller to a friend and start brawling. It is a good match for players who want straightforward, colourful action based on a well-loved comic series.
