Arcade Archives PAC-MAN (Nintendo Switch)

Arcade Archives PAC-MAN brings a timeless arcade masterpiece and global sensation to Nintendo Switch as part of the Arcade Archives series. Published by HAMSTER, it sits in the action and arcade genres, supports up to two players and carries a PEGI 3 rating, making it one of the most approachable games you can add to a collection.

A classic in the Arcade Archives

The Arcade Archives line is built around bringing classic arcade games to modern consoles, and PAC-MAN is among the most recognisable names in video game history. This release is about the original arcade experience: simple to understand, quick to play and hard to put down. If you grew up with arcade cabinets, it is a direct link back; if you did not, it is a chance to see why the game became such a phenomenon.

The appeal of an arcade classic is that every round is short and the goal is obvious. That makes it a great game for passing the time, for trying to beat a friend, or for handing to a child who has never played an arcade game before.

Why play it on Nintendo Switch

The game comes on a physical game card for Nintendo Switch, which suits collectors who like to hold a copy of a classic rather than rely on downloads. Up to two players can take part, so you can take turns or compete. The PEGI 3 rating makes it suitable for the whole family, and the simple arcade formula means anyone can join in without learning complicated controls.

Released on 24 September 2021, this edition is a physical game card, so it sits on the shelf with the rest of your collection. It is a short, easy-to-understand arcade game that rewards repeat plays.
