Alan Wake 2 (PS5)

Overview

Alan Wake 2 is a landmark in psychological horror gaming, nominated for Game of the Year at The Game Awards. Published by Epic Games Inc. and available as a physical disc for PlayStation 5, this gripping horror experience weaves together two desperate stories set across two haunting worlds. A string of ritualistic murders shakes the small Pacific Northwest town of Bright Falls, drawing FBI agent Saga Anderson into a case that quickly warps into something far beyond the supernatural. Meanwhile, Alan Wake — a writer lost in a nightmare realm — attempts to rewrite reality itself from within the Dark Place in order to survive and escape. Their journeys are separate yet deeply intertwined, each affecting the other's world in ways neither can fully comprehend. Built from the ground up for PlayStation 5, Alan Wake 2 takes full advantage of next-gen hardware — including PS5 Pro Enhancement, DualSense haptic feedback, and adaptive trigger effects — making it one of the most immersive horror experiences available on the platform.

Two Worlds, One Terrifying Story

Saga Anderson arrives in Bright Falls as a seasoned FBI investigator, only to find the pages of a horror story that seems to be writing itself into reality around her. Every clue she uncovers pulls her deeper into the supernatural. Across the veil, Alan Wake is trapped in the Dark Place — a distorted, nightmarish cityscape — where his only tool is his pen, shaping the story around him in a desperate gambit to reclaim his freedom. The two heroes reflect and echo each other across the boundary between worlds, their fates locked together in ways that neither fully understands. As supernatural darkness spreads through Bright Falls, corrupting its residents and threatening those both heroes love, the question becomes whether they can become the heroes the story demands — or remain its victims.

Who It's For

Alan Wake 2 is essential for fans of psychological horror, narrative-driven games, and cinematic single-player experiences. If you love titles that blur the line between reality and nightmare, reward exploration and careful resource management, and deliver a story you'll be thinking about long after the credits roll, this is a must-own for your PlayStation 5 games library. It is rated 21+ (MENA) and is intended for mature audiences. Pair it with a PlayStation console or enhance your setup with a PlayStation controller to get the most out of the DualSense experience.
