Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion (PS4)

Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion is a family adventure and role-playing game for PlayStation 4, published by Outright Games LLC. The Land of Ooo is underwater, and it is up to Finn and Jake to find out why as they head out onto the high seas to search for hidden clues, interrogate shady suspects and fight pirates.

Story and setting

This is an original Adventure Time story rather than a retelling of an episode. The flood has turned the familiar kingdoms into islands, and you travel by ship between them, venturing into uncharted territories to work out what is going on. Along the way you meet suspects, follow leads and take on pirates in an effort to save the waterlogged world. The adventure features the English voice cast, so the characters sound the way fans expect.

Gameplay and features

• Explore the Land of Ooo freely, discover secrets and collect loot
• Play as fan-favourite characters Finn, Jake, BMO and Marceline
• Set sail across the high seas between kingdoms
• Fast-paced tactical combat against bad guys
• Upgrade your heroes and use items, spells, potions and unique ultimate hero abilities
• Original adventure with the English voice cast

Combat is tactical but fast-paced, and the upgrades, items and spells give you ways to build your party around the style of play you prefer. Exploring for loot and secrets between fights keeps the pace varied.
