FAQs

Where can I buy the MSI MAG401QR (40-inch UWQHD Gaming Monitor, DisplayHDR 400, 1ms, 165Hz) in Lebanon?

The MSI MAG401QR (40-inch UWQHD Gaming Monitor, DisplayHDR 400, 1ms, 165Hz) is available at OutGeeked.net with delivery across Lebanon. We carry MSI, LG, Asus, and Samsung monitors with full warranty. Cash on delivery available.

What is the difference between IPS, VA, and TN panels?

IPS (In-Plane Switching): best colour accuracy and widest viewing angles — ideal for content creation, photo editing, and general-purpose use. VA (Vertical Alignment): highest native contrast ratio (3000:1–5000:1) and deepest blacks — best for dark-room gaming and movie watching. TN (Twisted Nematic): fastest response times (1ms) but poorest colours and narrow viewing angles — chosen by competitive FPS players who prioritise speed above all else. Most monitors today use IPS or IPS-variant panels as the best all-round choice.

What refresh rate do I need for gaming on the MSI MAG401QR (40-inch UWQHD Gaming Monitor, DisplayHDR 400, 1ms, 165Hz)?

60Hz is fine for casual gaming and productivity. 144Hz is the meaningful step up — motion is visibly smoother, blur is reduced, and competitive advantage improves. 165–180Hz is the current sweet spot for dedicated gamers. 240Hz+ suits professional or semi-professional competitive FPS players whose GPUs can sustain 200+ fps. For the best value, pair a 144–165Hz display with a GPU that can consistently hit those frame rates in your played titles.

Does the MSI MAG401QR (40-inch UWQHD Gaming Monitor, DisplayHDR 400, 1ms, 165Hz) support HDR and what does it mean?

HDR (High Dynamic Range) expands the range between the darkest shadows and brightest highlights compared to standard SDR content. True HDR requires DisplayHDR 600 or higher certification — meaning 600 nits peak brightness minimum. Most monitors labelled 'HDR ready' or 'HDR 400' offer only marginal improvement over SDR because they lack the peak brightness and local dimming to deliver the full HDR effect. Check the MSI MAG401QR (40-inch UWQHD Gaming Monitor, DisplayHDR 400, 1ms, 165Hz)'s DisplayHDR certification number for an honest assessment.
